Great condition! Better than expected for purchasing used!
For me and my foster daughter, American Girl history girl books have been best for being interesting, fun, educational, and meeting the high standards we set for ourselves. The set purchased was supposed to be like new, but was missing most of the game. The box part of the "boxed" set was split apart along one edge. Other than that, the books are a fabulous addition to our American Girl library. We love them.
By far one of AmericanGirls best book series (along with NOLA) loved reading these, their illustrations are simply wonderful. Meaty books filled with soo much info. Just perfect for young girls, my Daughters will be pleased! My personal favorite was Ruthie, she's just precious in this series. Wish they hadn't discontinued her, such a sad thing for AG to do.
Kit is definitely one of our favorite girls. We love the values of the 1930s. What a great historical read for girls who love history as mine do, or those who don't! Kit is resourceful, ambitious and a go-getter...all great characteristics for American Girls. The movie is also a great addition to your American Girl collection. This is great for unit studies for the Great Depression!
Was in brand new condition! Attached board game with the set cover was a nice and fun surprise. My eight year old daughter has loved it
I love this series! My daughter and I read them at bedtime over a period of 3 months or so. She was very interested in the story lines. I think that this series is a very positive interpretation of "girl power." The way that Kit Kittredge solves problems is charming and clever. The books also present moral lessons without being preachy. Kit deals with poverty, her father's joblessness, and discrimination with aplomb and courage. I highly recommend this series. Entertaining for adults as well as children.
My daughter love AG books. She's 7 and we read them aloud together. Kit's stories are possibly my favorite as they are very relatable and I honestly feel like they are good perspective fore DD and myself during these harder times in our economy. I love that she's hearing stories about how people can survive hard economic times and find blessings in them even. A great set. Came in wonderful condition. Happy to have it on our shelves.
